Radio Voice of the Cape

Muslim community radio station broadcasting on 100.4FM

Technology & Media ยท Cape Town, Western Cape

The idea of a Muslim radio station was born in the early 1990s, driven by community figures such as Imam Noor Davids and Imam Gasan Solomon, for the purpose of community advancement.

A special event licence was first granted to VOC during Ramadan in 1995, followed by subsequent temporary broadcast licences, and in June 2002 the station was awarded a four-year licence.

The Voice of the Cape broadcasts every alternate day on the 100.4 FM frequency, and daily in the Boland area.
