In 1991, the Roshgold Group designed and developed a unique co-operative to meet the hospitalisation needs of its members. Roshgold's research highlighted the need for a collective fund to assist and pay for members' high cost of medical care while hospitalised.

Roshmed became a reality and has since its inception been of great benefit to its members, who enjoy the dual benefit of a hospital plan and a return on investment.
